Your adventure begins from outside the front door with over 22km of hiking and biking trails and 10 public viewpoints, including the Copley and Lone Tree Mountain summits, and five rock climbing areas.
With the extensive retention and maintenance of green and park spaces this will ensure the protection and access to The Foothills for generations to come.
Protect The Natural Environment
PARK DEDICATION - Lone Tree Properties Ltd. has set aside 1,100 acres of land as park space or district lands to be enjoyed by the public.
This represents approximately 60% of the site and 15% of the entire District’s area. Heikkila Creek Canyon, the Upper Lookout, Lonetree Summit, and Copley Summit are all protected under this plan and made accessible through a carefully connected trail system. By relocating development parcels away from more isolated and distant lands, a more expansive and intact park space will re-naturalize and thrive.
Robust policies in the development site place will ensure the mitigation and offset of impacts on environmentally sensitive areas identified within the site plan’s development clusters.
